Day 11

Slika
Today, November 25th, 2025, on our exchange in Denmark, was full of activity and new experiences. We woke up early, had the same breakfast as any day, and then walked to school, where we spent the morning in the kitchen preparing a mushroom ragu with lentil seeds and making homemade dough for fresh pasta. We also prepared traditional potica and gibanica completely from scratch. After finishing the cooking session, we left the school and visited Hotel Europa in Aabenraa, as well as its bar, Fox and Hounds, where we got a glimpse of how the hotel and its hospitality areas operate. Once the visit was over, we returned to the school and ate our Slovenian desserts. Everyone was very satisfied and impressed by our desserts, which made us proud of our creations. Later we headed to the camp, had dinner and spent the evening hanging out, chatting and relaxing, and eventually headed to sleep, bringing another interesting day of our exchange program to an end.

Day 9

Finally, our little break was over, and our work began again. We started our day like any other with a big breakfast and a morning walk to school. But today was a little different as it had finally snowed in Aabenraa 😉. Today our Professor Stephan organized a company visit to a Christmas market near Aabenraa. We had a quick bus trip there (only 20 min) and we were already there. There the third-generation owner Katarina showed us around and gave us a nice lunch. We saw different animals (pigs, goats and even reindeer), many Christmas decorations and the entire farm which has been converted into a giant Christmas wonderland. It was very beautiful and most of all impressive as the farm Is situated in Krusmølle which is only a small town next to Aabenraa. For lunch Katharine with her kitchen staff made a typical German / Danish dish (wurst with potatoes and Appels). All the ingredients were local. They also had a giant second floor shop filled with Christmas décor trinkets and alcoholic ...

Day 7

Ah yes, the weekend has finally started. It has already been a full week of our stay in Denmark, and we are still loving every second of it. We woke up quite early and headed directly to the Aabenraa Christmas market where we possibly saw the real Father Christmas (aka Santa Claus). We even had the privilege to take a photo with him. The Christmas market was very beautiful, and it left a good impression of Danish Christmas in our minds. At around 11 am we headed to the bus station where we rode a bus to Sønderborg. The city was very beautiful, glamorous and gorgeous. First, we went for a walk around the city. After that we visited the hotel Alsik where we rode an elevator to the top floor to see the amazing view. The view was amazing, and we could even see into Germany from the South side. We also visited some nice sights around Sønderborg and went out for a bite to eat in a local Italian restaurant (the food was amazing). That consisted of our visit to Sønderborg, and around 7pm re re...

Sprehod je bil sproščen, poln pogovorov in fotografiranja. Tam nam je dal nalogo da poslikamo in najdemo določeno število znamenitosti (našli smo jih skoraj vse). Prav t...

Day 5

Slika
As our Erasmus experience in Denmark continues, today brought new impressions and challenges. We began the day yet again with breakfast, our most awaited morning routine. Last night seemed to be eventful as most of us were a little bit late for breakfast. The weather forecast predicted very cold temperatures today, so we dressed warmly for the occasion. As most of our students said, the morning walks are the best, as they are very peaceful and extremely beautiful because of the sunrise. We once again arrived at school at 8.10 and headed to the school’s bakery where we crossed paths with today’s teacher Tomas. Tomas was extremely helpful throughout the day, and he had a lot of good techniques and most importantly good jokes. Today’s menu consisted of an unhealthy amount of delicious baked goods (Rye bread, white bread, Pita bread and chocolate bread) and a buffe witch we prepared for ourselves Tomas and the German students. All of us were very satisfied with today’s class of baked goods...
